What You Will Do

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Platform Engineering Manager to lead our eyeSight platform team at Forescout Technologies Inc. As the Platform Engineering Manager, you will have a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge cybersecurity platform, covering aspects of OS, Security, Customer Engineering, and DevOps. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the continued success of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a multifaceted team of platform engineers, including OS experts, security specialists, customer engineering professionals, and DevOps engineers. Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to foster individual and team growth.
• Platform Development: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the eyeSight platform, ensuring it meets high standards of performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Technical Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical strategy for the platform, aligning it with broader business goals and objectives.
• Project Management: Plan, prioritize, and manage the execution of platform engineering projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant deliveries.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product management, quality assurance, and other teams to define requirements, resolve issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality platform components.
• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in platform engineering, OS, security, customer engineering, and DevOps.
• Mentorship: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to best practices in platform development, including code reviews, testing, and comprehensive documentation.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with platform engineering projects, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.

What You Bring To Forescout

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Strong background in platform engineering, with expertise in areas such as OS, security, customer engineering, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and technologies is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performance platform engineering teams.
• Project management experience, including Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
