Job Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Software Development Manager to lead and oversee multiple teams of developers focused on Java-based web application development. In this role, you will guide your teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and reliable software solutions. You will work closely with other leaders, stakeholders, and teams across the organization to drive technical excellence and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Team Management and Leadership:

  - Oversee teams of Java developers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

  - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team leads and developers.

  - Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and talent development across teams.

Project Oversight and Coordination:

  - Manage planning, execution, and delivery of multiple Java-based web application projects.

  - Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to understand and prioritize project requirements.

  - Allocate resources efficiently across teams and projects to optimize productivity.

Technical Strategy and Innovation:

  - Drive technical direction and architectural design for Java-based web applications across teams.

  - Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to guide teams in adopting best practices.

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

  - Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns.

  - Work closely with other departments, such as product management and design, to align development with business objectives.

  - Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive innovative solutions.

Performance Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

  - Monitor and optimize performance of web applications across teams.

  - Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as adopting DevOps practices and optimizing development processes.

  - Conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions for performance and reliability issues.

Resource Management:

  - Manage hiring, training, and resource allocation across multiple teams.

  - Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development among teams.

Requirements & Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Demonstrated experience in leading and guiding teams of Java developers.
• In-depth expertise in Java programming and web application development.
• Skilled in utilizing Java frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
• Experienced in working with relational databases and crafting efficient SQL queries.
• Competence in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid knowledge of software development approaches such as Agile and DevOps.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
