Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM SSW business unit is seeking talented and motivated Software Developers to work as a Development (Engineering) Manager on the Maximo family of products. In this role you will be the personnel manager for a 12-15 person team and responsible for building a culture of high performance trust inclusively and fun. You’ll closely collaborate with the broader Development & Support team to manage delivery of our offering roadmap. It’s expected that you have enough relevant technical experience to provide guidance to your team and help unblock progress from both technical and managerial front. This is an exciting opportunity to learn how the industry leading Enterprise Asset life cycle management suite of products works and to learn from a large team of very talented engineers.

Daily Job – High-level

• Define with team the best approach to develop a new functionality
• Work with team on issues RCA.
• Define and apply across the team the development standard.
• Manage and Drive daily scrum calls
• Support for hiring initiatives Industry collaborations
• Team Management
• Performance management

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 9+ Years of experience
• Personnel management
• Customer facing experience including verbal and written communication and flexibility to accommodate customer’s needs
• Agile development methodologies
• At least one programming language: Java Python or JavaScript
• SQL / NoSQL database technologies including Mongo DB2 and Oracle
• Git and Jira
• Kubernetes & Open Shift
• Working experience on Maximo Asset Management

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• PMP (Project management Professional)
• CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
