Software Development Project Coordinator

Position Purpose

The Software Development Project Coordinator is responsible for providing developing and maintaining project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and software implementation projects, ensuring first that these initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with high quality of deliverables. The Project Coordinator supports IT project and program initiatives ensuring the optimum mix of cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability throughout all phases of service delivery including intake, analysis, design, configuration and build, testing, training, and deployment of solutions through support transition of each product/program. Our Coordinators are accountable for supporting all project management aspects including project resources (partners/subcontractors), project planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, communications, status reporting and resource management, including internal and partners/subcontractors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules,
• Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
• Coordination and follow-up of project tasks and actions
• Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meeting,
• Ensuring project deadlines are met
• Providing administrative support as needed
• Undertaking project tasks as required
• Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project,
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable,
• Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience

• 1-2 years+ of project coordinator experience and a demonstrated understanding of project management processes, artifacts and tools
• Works independently to support ongoing projects
• Ability to support team in achieving milestones with strong attention to detail
• Understanding of Agile, SAFe, or other development methodologies
• Experience with software development tools, such as JIRA
• Experience with creating presentations and stakeholder materials
• Strong sense of personal responsibility for exceptional quality work
• Education Experience preferred
