Software Engineer - .NET

Job Title: Software Engineer .NET Location: India Workplace Type: Remote

Job Summary The future is bright for the Porch Group and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our as a Software Engineer .

You are critical to the team's success and delivery of the expanding suite of applications. The position is responsible for system analysis development testing debugging documenting and installing portions of new systems and modifying existing systems. You will be part of a newly formed and expanding team in a dynamic work environment.

What You Will Do As A Software Engineer

• Individual contributor delivering a high level of code

• Actively engage in Scrum processes sizing estimating and executing to sprint tasks

• Collaborate with product management and QA to ensure all tasks meet the requirements

• Follow documented best practices standards and policies as it relates to software development

• Run functionality testing (QA) and debug code

What You Bring As A Software Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or four years of equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing production software

• Understands and can speak to all aspects of the software development life cycle

• Proven collaborator with clear open and honest communication

• Extremely knowledgeable with following tools:

  • C# ASP.NET (.NET Framework and .NET Core/Standard MVC)

  • React

  • TypeScript (JavaScript)

  • Redis

  • Microsoft SQL Server

• Adjust to new situations and escalate issues quickly for resolution

• Proven experience working with US based business teams

• Excellent written and communication skills both English and Hindi

• Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap

• Workspace: A quiet space to work an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
