Software Engineer 1, GMOT

Job Description:
Responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and is aware of the development practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solution and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria. Executes automated test suites (integration, regression, performance); collects results and flags issues. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release. Individual contributor.

Role Overview:
You will be working in Jersey City in a team collaborating with a number of teams in other regions, working within an Agile team, writing requirements and specification, developing relationships across the technology and user communities. In addition, you will be crucial in making sure we are always focusing on the delivery of value and high-quality code.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for supporting modern agile software development methods, working with teams in Jersey City and other regions.
Required Skills:

• 1- 2 years experience with testing (unit, integration, etc.), along with test automation
• Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks
• Excellent Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of NET C# technologies and MS SQL Server, or JAVA
• Knowledge of MVC Framework, including JavaScript and CSS

Jersey City pay range:
$ 24.00 - $ 51.50 hourly pay, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is compensated with a base salary and is not incentive eligible.
