We are now hiring a R D Software Engineer to strengthen our software development team focused on enhancing the versatile and high-performance embedded Linux software on our 93000 semiconductor test platform.

Be part of the V93000 world-wide software development team providing software drivers and measurement methodologies for the Advantest 93000 semiconductor test platform. We are specifically looking for highly motivated individuals with software development expertise and a solid understanding of interfacing with hardware, FPGAs, embedded systems, and measurement instrumentation.

This position is located in San Jose, California with the expectation of 80% time in the office.

Key responsibilities:

• Member of R D Software team developing solutions for Advantest's 93K SOC testers.
• With a quality first approach, propose and design solutions to enhance measurement techniques and throughput of the 93000 test system based on customer input.
• Understanding and documenting customer requirements in collaboration with product owners, product management team
• Write software drivers and debug new hardware to verify correct operation
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Lead small cross functional teams of SW and HW engineers to set the future direction of the product.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent
• Excellent modern C++ programming knowledge
• Experience with Linux command line, embedded Linux systems and interfacing with hardware.
• Structured approach to problem analysis and problem solving
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Curiosity and passion to drive the development of new products
• Must be able to travel 10% of the time.

Desired additional qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering
• Previous experience with Advantest 93K system.
• Experience in the ATE industry.
• Knowledge of Parametric Test measurement techniques
