Job Description

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking qualified software development professionals with a minimum of five years OOD/OOP experience to support software development within the Optics Division. Typical job duties will involve maintenance and development of a suite of software applications for a range of applications, including hardware Command and Control (C2), situational awareness, and data analysis. A well-suited candidate will be self-motivated, with demonstrated communication skills (oral and written), and be capable of working both in a small team and unsupervised.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will have direct experience with the following:

• Object Oriented Design and Programming (Java, C#, C, C++, Python)
• Working within an Agile/Lean team-based environment
• Working with team-based Software Development Tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Jira, etc.)

Qualified candidates will have an interest or experience in one of the following areas:

• OpenGL, DirectX, and Vulkan
• CUDA, OpenCL, and Compute Shaders
• Stereo Computer Vision/Image Processing
• Machine Learning
• UX and UI design
• Experience in developing software for fielded hardware systems

Education and Experience Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific field with 5+ years of related experience
• Five years direct OOP/OOD experience

Additional Notes

United States citizenship is required. Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final Department of Defense security clearance. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. Position may require travel.
