Job Description (Software Engineer)
- Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality software/solutions.
- Create and review additional product/project deliverables e.g., external & internal specifications and user documentation
- Create and review unit/component integration test plans and scripts, execute tests, and analyze and report on the results.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews/inspections.
- Research and resolve customer/project reported problems.
- Provide technical assistance to others.
- Previous card payments experience and knowledge to our networks such as VISA, Mastercard, Discover, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent software development experience.
- 6+ years software development experience
- Knowledge & Experience of Cobol/Mainframe development associated technologies.
- Strong COBOL/JCL Development experience on Mainframe platforms.
- Unix Scripting Experience would be good to have.
- Knowledge and experience using Oracle and/or DB2
- Familiarity with code management tools (GIT, Synergy, etc.) is desirable.
- Good oral and written communication skills are required, including the ability to interface well with others
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is required
- Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required
- Should be self-motivated and capable of working independently
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in developing card payments software solutions including VISA, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, JCB, etc.
- Knowledge and experience using VSAM
- Java development experience
- Linux Operating System experience
- Business knowledge about card payments industry is a plus
- Work Experience in Agile Methodology would be preferable
