Software Engineer Summary: 

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This team has a comprehensive understanding of Tenstreet’s platform and is trusted with a wide variety of responsibilities involving high-level technical support, processing new client setups, creating custom reporting and client specific forms, integrating with other software providers, working in a SQL database, and troubleshooting our software issues.

What you’ll be Responsible for:

• Build internal tools that our Account Managers can utilize to better assist our clients.
• Writing SQL queries and using tools to set up clients and investigate/problem solve.  
• Manage the entire software development process, including project inception, design, development, testing, and review.
• Performing the technical setup for new and current clients being implemented on Tenstreet’s enterprise software. 
• Iterate on solutions based on internal and external client feedback
• Participate in design process, gathering requirements with other developers and Tenstreet team members
• Be self-directed and able to prioritize your own workload

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years professional experience as a Software Engineer

Experience with the following languages and tools is expected:

• Experience with PHP is a plus, but not a necessity. (If you have solid experience in another language, we're open to quickly learning PHP on the job)
• JavaScript and JavaScript libraries like jQuery
• HTML/CSS
• Relational databases such as MS SQL / Oracle / MySQL
