Software Engineer Summary:

RSM is looking to add a Software Engineer to our MS Dynamics team in our National IT organization. This person can sit in any RSM US office.

The Software Engineer must communicate project deliverables when expected and provide written communications which clearly articulate what is being said or asked for. This person is expected to foster a team environment where all members are encouraged to be part of the solution and leadership is aware of important actions being taken. Communication should be proactive so that issues are avoided, and project resources are used effectively and efficiently. In this role, the Software Engineer is expected to escalate issues to Team Lead or Project Manager in a timely manner and be comfortable speaking one on one or to groups and deliver messages that are easily understood.

Essential Duties

• Review, validation, and interpretation of business and non-functional requirements. Interaction with Business Analysts and Business contacts.
• Analysis of existing systems, implementation of requirements and change requests into design deliverables
• Construction and unit testing of software on various platforms including, web, desktop, and client server. Uses available technologies to create reusable, extendable, and maintainable systems and components
• Communication with project team members including assisting QA with testing of software, assist tech lead and project management with estimation, planning, and project status, and assistance with identifying project issues and risks

Qualifications

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Computer Programming or Information Systems preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle
• C#.NET, ASP.NET, Javascript, Microsoft SQL Server, web development, XML knowledge required
• Microsoft Azure, Azure SASS (Service Bus, Azure functions)
• SSIS packages knowledge preferred
• -Familiar with DevOps and Agile principals, unit testing

Experience

• 2 - 4 years software development experience required
• 1 - 2 years MS Dynamics CRM development experience preferred
• Familiarity with Windows, Client Server, SharePoint and Web based applications preferred

• Ability to mentor others in technical and business
• Good understanding of accounting methodologies
• Strong attention to detail
• Partners with System Architects and DBA's to architect new systems and large enhancements
• Participate with Business Analysts during the creation of requirements
