Software Engineer

POSITION: Software Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Build new features for the Mercari Android app to enhance user experience across all
products, including coding in Kotlin, Java, and React Native. Improve the capabilities of existing apps.
Test products and design features and specifications according to business goals. Perform automation of
processes related to continuous deliver of the app. Write and maintain technical documentation. Manage
product requirements, deadlines, and qualities. Build high-performance mobile features and apps.
Conduct technical research to support new app capabilities. Remote work is permitted within the U.S.
only.

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Mercari, Inc., 3223 Hanover Street, Suite 110, Palo Alto, CA 94304

SALARY:
Zone 1: 132,000-189,800
Zone 2: 118,800-170,800
Zone 3: 105,600-151,800

REQUIREMENTS
Main Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or closely related
field of study and at least two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or closely related
occupation.

Special Skills: Also requires two (2) years of experience in the following:
 Android mobile development;
 Java;
 Kotlin; and
 Object-Oriented Programming.
