Caribou Thunder is seeking a Software Engineer to support Missile Defense Solutions operations. This position will assist engineering efforts that provide software engineering and technical direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation of complex systems.

JOB DUTIES

Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

Determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

Ensures software standards are met.

Participates in efforts that develop recommendations and advice on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Linux

C/C++, Python, Java development experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with DevOps and Agile Development

CLEARANCE

Top Secret clearance that is or has been active within the last two years

TS/SCI/Full Scope Poly preferred

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related discipline plus 2 years of related experience

OR Masters and 0 years of related experience
