At Supernova, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge technology solutions that empower businesses and individuals to achieve their full potential. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineer to work either on platform projects or ETL data production projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of our platform team and related services.​
• Participate in the development and maintenance of ETL batch job
• Collaborating with product managers, team leads, and other stakeholders to understand the technical requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks.​
• Be the major force in the implementation, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable services or ETL jobs.​
• Reviewing code, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and guidelines.​
• Participating in architecture and design discussions, contributing to the overall technical solutions.​
• Continuously improving the performance, reliability, and security of our platform.​
• Identifying and addressing technical debt, refactoring code, and driving improvements in the team's software development processes and practices.​
• Assisting in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.​
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
• 2+ years of software development experience, with a focus either on ETL batch job development with python, or backend restful services using Java Spring Boot framework.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices is a plus. Proficiency in Java development and Spring Boot framework is a plus.
• Proficiency with Python ETL batch job development is a plus.
• Knowledge of API security standards and practices, including but not limited to OAuth, SAML and JWT
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of microservice architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services preferred.
