The Engineering Platforms and Experiences (EPX) team is the technology engine that powers PayPal’s business. We deliver a seamlessly scalable, exceptionally efficient, highly reliable infrastructure and services platform in a hybrid cloud environment. Thousands of PayPal developers build and run hundreds of applications processing billions of calls daily with high availability and reliability that flow through the infrastructure provided by the traffic management group.Â
Job Requirements:
The traffic management group is responsible for critical services such as application (L7) layer routing, asynchronous event propagation, and service registry capabilities. If you are looking to make an impact, then join us to build always available highly distributed systems. We are looking for an experienced technologist to help build next generation capabilities.  Preferable someone that is a strong technical innovator who can operate in a high performing team, can creatively balance high quality delivery with customer focus to meet business needs, has excellent communication skills.
Technical skills requirement:
- Proficient in GO programming
- 6+ years of experience in building distributed systems, SOA and microservices
- Knowledge of REST, HTTP, and concurrency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and functional testing
- Experience with Github and Jira
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements
- Understanding of TCP, Networking
- Good team player, high EQ
