About the role:

As a Software Engineer on the Raft team, you'll work with a tight-knit group of software engineers on an emerging work-in-progress project-- creating an integration test suite for operationally-deployed applications. Most of your work will be backend, especially focused in backend API and Gateway work, but you may also touch on frontend, so the ideal candidate would be fullstack with a preference/ strengths in backend work.

What we are looking for:

• 4 years of hands-on experience as a fullstack software engineer
  
• Programming experience with JavaScript, Java, Python, etc
  
• Familiarity with DevSecOps (DevOps) tools and processes like Git/ GitLab
  
• Experience with Extreme Programming (XP) practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming
  
• Experience contributing to software architecture and design for new and existing systems
  
• Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes or Docker
  
• Ability to pass the CompTIA Security+ exam within first 90 days of employment 

Highly preferred:

• Experience with backend API and Gateway
• Bachelors degree in quantitative field, like Computer Science
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Test authoring experience with JavaScript, Java, etc
• Team player with great attitude and professional communication skills

Clearance Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
