Job Description
Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking to hire an Senior Software Engineer to support Aviation Missile Command (AvMC) and add a valued employee-owner to our dynamic and employee-centric culture.
As part of the team, the candidate will be expected to work in Visual Studio to fix bugs and implement new features for a JavaScript/Typescript API project. Other day-to-day responsibilities include documentation updates, writing unit tests, and release testing. Candidate should also be familiar with Agile. Candidate will also help derive and convert engineering algorithms for various phenomenology into delivered software code. Candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced team environment.
Job Requirements
Duties:
- Perform bug fixes and/or create new features
- Testing support
- Documentation generation
- Breakdown complex mathematical computations
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
- Strong mathematical skills
- JavaScript/Typescript experience
- Docker experience is a plus
- Git/GitLab experience is a plus
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in software engineering
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks
- Familiarity with ASP.NET
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with Visual Studio/VS Code
- Experience programming with C#/C++/Python
- Experience with .NET Core
