We are looking for a talented software engineer who understands the fundamentals of cloud computing and scalable system design. Your primary focus will be working with architects and the product team to design and develop the back-end web services that power our giving platform.  

You’ll get to:

• Serving as a key member of our agile team that drives user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop highly scaled web service using modern agile engineering practices 
• Perform hands-on software development throughout the whole software development life cycle, from requirements gathering, development, and testing to deployment 
• Develop high-quality coverage of unit tests
• Perform maintenance work for existing web services of the Givelify system 
• Provide engineering support to our customer support team to resolve any critical customer issues 
• Bring a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvement
• Embrace fast-paced work culture and possess the ability to adapt to changes 

We welcome your meaningful experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree, M.S./Ph.D. with relevant academic/research experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent degree (STEM)
• Minimum 1-2 years of software development experience 
• Experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems
• Excellent in object-oriented design and programming
• Experience in Agile development practice and continuous integration/continuous delivery environment (CI/CD)
• Experience in PHP, Laravel, Python, or REACT is a plus
• Experience with public cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, etc.) is also a plus
• Good attitude, communications skills, and willingness to learn and collaborate
