Job Description

Torch Technologies is currently seeking experienced software developers who will help to build robust virtual software prototypes for government use. The candidate will support software development to meet government customers' needs and implement solutions to address software related requirements for multiple execution environments. The candidate will be part of a team developing, testing, and integrating new and existing modeling and simulation tools. The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven record of developing robust software applications. Qualified candidates will work within a collaborative and distributed team environment composed of government and supporting contractor personnel. The candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and technical writing skills. Candidates must have development experience using high-level languages such as C++, Python, or Java.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master's Degree (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline from an accredited university
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software design and development using high-level languages C++, Python, or Java
• Experience developing message-based, distributed software applications
• Demonstrated expertise with modern Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, or IntelliJ
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, subversion, etc.
• The ability to react quickly to changing engineering challenges and mission requirements
• US Citizenship is required for this position
• Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance is required for ongoing employment in this position
