We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our NetApp E-Series software engineering team. As a Software Engineer, you will work as part of an Agile team responsible for the development, testing and debugging of embedded software that powers NetApp E-Series storage applications. We are seeking engineers with strong C++ development experience. As part of the Engineering team, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, reliability, performance, supportability, technological advances, and product quality. We want software engineers who are comfortable balancing new product development work as well as enhancements to our existing products. While not a requirement, any knowledge/experience with technologies such as Linux Operating System functionality/development, Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning/Machine Learning, SaaS, Cloud storage infrastructure (or technologies), Video Surveillance, Big Data Analytics, and Splunk are highly desired.
You must be a self-starter, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative Agile scrum environment. You will need to be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fun, fast-paced dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
o Software development, design, testing and problem solving as a member of Agile scrum team
o Work with other engineers to develop test plans and assist in the integration of these tests into our Continuous Integration Test environment
o Experience with code coverage tools is a plus
Job Requirements
o Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as: C/C++ and Python
o Practical experience with Object Oriented programming practices in enterprise software
o Well-grounded in the basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
o Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
o Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
o Creative and analytical approach to problem solving ability is essential
Education
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $106,900 - $150,300. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
