Software Engineer

We are seeking a C# and Visual Basic Software Developer or MES Engineer who we can train in Syncade MES object programming. Using your programming skills, you will develop custom functions using C# and Visual Basic. The role supports a variety of customers and industry segments with a focus on digging into code details, identifying software bugs, and run-time error tracing.  You will work independently to develop and implement control behaviors within Emerson Syncade, as well as troubleshoot issues with manufacturing execution systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Training – Receive training for Emerson Syncade MES (manufacturing execution system).
• Develop and Program – Develop and program custom behaviors and functions in C# and Visual Basic for our Syncade MES customers. The scope of work is diverse and tailored to the customer needs. 
• Create Custom Libraries – Develop and maintain custom libraries of behaviors and functions written in C# and Visual Basic that allow Syncade recipe authors to control manufacturing execution system.
• MES Patching and Software Upgrades – Support upgrade of the Syncade and other MES systems.  Develop and execute upgrade plans. 
• Project Services – Includes supporting the project teams in buildout of MES code per design specifications, supporting customer factory acceptance testing, performing system testing, supporting site acceptances testing, commissioning and startup.
• Emergency Support. 
• Develop / cultivate a relationship with Syncade MES recipe authors. 

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or demonstrated capability as a programmer.
• Experience with C# and Visual Basic. 
• Experience developing custom scripts or software integrations.
