Software Engineer

Euronet Worldwide, Inc., a leading financial services company, is hiring a Software Engineer to join its team. The company has built a unique network of networks that drives transactions in the quickly evolving global payments landscape through diverse cash-based and digitally driven services for consumers and businesses. We currently have an opening, in our epay segment, for a Software Engineer specializing in SQL. This position is located in our Leawood KS office. This position is for someone who can work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to develop and support complex enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience developing SQL features and writing applications to interface with SQL databases. This position is for a candidate that desires to work on business-critical systems that directly affect the success of the organization.

• Implements features to epay's billing platform (primarily Microsoft SQL server)
• Optimizes database performance, creates complex functions and stored procedures, analyzes queries, and resolves problems.
• Provides estimates for user stories and breaks down individual tasks for execution.
• Partners with the portfolio architect to ensure solution is executed effectively.
• Provides testing support to ensure features are working as expected.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with other software engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Presents ideas to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
• Identifies tasks that could be automated to increase efficiency.

Requirements

REQUIRED:

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-6 years experience with SQL
• Proven ability to design and build technically complex systems in an enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Proven ability to be part of a collaborative team (developers, quality assurance analysts, business analysts, and project managers) that challenges and learns from each other.

DESIRED:

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of .NET programming in C# or Visual Basic.
• Experience with Git or other source control tools.
• Experience developing financial or accounting software.
