The team is a multi-disciplinary Data Science R&D team that holds a wide range of responsibilities from research, development, deployment and products’ lifecycle ownership of tools to help data scientist combat fraud. The team is located in Isarel and working closely with parallel team in China.
As a software engineer in Global Fraud Risk - Automation team, you will develop and own E2E solutions and automated tools, you will work closely with analytical team, understand the requirement and majorly contribute to the core strategy/solution automation platform, transform research work to real products. We are looking for strong technologists who are passionate problem solvers and able to continuously deliver solutions in scalable way.

Job Description:

In Your Role as a Software engineer, You Will:

• Design, develop and own teams’ products and frameworks while working with PayPal’s existing infrastructures and data sources
• Integrate data science and machine learning algorithms into E2E automation pipeline
• Guarantee product and code quality while using engineering best practices like code review, automatic testing, CI/CD.
• Identify and address problems and issues during the normal course of work and respond to risk mitigation needs quickly to solve issues with minimum guidance.
• Maintain ongoing communication with peers, customers and stakeholders across the globe and manage projects independently.

About You

• B.Sc. in computer sciences or equivalent; or IDF technological unit technology experience
• 2+ years’ hands-on experience in Python including unit testing experience, writing effective and scalable code
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, object-oriented design, data-structures, concurrency, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with databases and SQL.
• Familiar with Micro service architecture, Full stack development, web application development – Advantage
• Familiar with Big Data Technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive – Advantage
• Working knowledge of statistics, Data Science and machine learning concepts – Advantage
• Proven ability to work independently; Delivery oriented with Strong attention to execution details.
• Team player, effective interpersonal skills. Manage relationships with key partners across different functions. Able to collaborate with remote teams effectively.
• Industry experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services – Advantage
• Excellent spoken and written English
