LOCATION: 300 Industry Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15275

TITLE: Software Engineer

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES: Design, develop, unit test, debug, and maintain Java based web applications in accordance with functional requirements and scope of work as part of an agile scrum team.

Develop technical documents for software architecture, design, and verification plans.

Define and develop software requirements, architectures, and designs suited for fault-tolerant systems.

Participate in all aspects of software development, systems integration, test execution, issues resolution, and reviews.

Contribute and conform to Digital Engineering adopted software development standards.

Work within the Digital Engineering group to support enterprise initiatives and technical projects related to ecommerce websites.

Participate in production deployment and provide support for product.

Resolve critical production issues.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study plus 2 years of experience as a Software Developer, Programmer, any position in which the required experience can be obtained, or related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study plus 4 years of experience as a Software Developer, Programmer, any position in which the required experience can be obtained, or related occupation as an equivalent alternative.

Required knowledge or experience with:

NodeJS, ExpressJS, HandleBarJS;

JDK 1.7 or higher;

Spring boot 2.x or higher;

Experience in AWS-EKS, GitHub Action;

Query optimization of relational databases (PostgreSQL);

Unit Testing frameworks (Mocha/Chai, Spock Groovy); and

Monitoring & Log aggregation tools like Splunk, Datadog.
