Software Engineer

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI.

Job Summary:

Our SW Build and Integration engineers play a critical role in executing the SW Integration Strategy and delivering Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) software. In this role, you'll be involved in the Build and Release of ADAS software, perform pre-release software check-outs, enhance existing SW Integration test framework and assist software development teams with debugging software bugs.

Your Role:

• Build software and perform software integration tests
• Maintain build environment/ system for ADAS software projects
• Test software/ hardware requirement change requests based on customer requests and release software with compatible versioning
• Perform software configuration management tasks including branching, code merges, and tagging/ label creation
• Verify software builds based on software test plans
• Design and develop automated test framework using Python
• Debug and troubleshoot software/ manufacturing issues.
• Validate DIDs, faults, routine, diagnostics, and trouble codes for each software release.
• Maintain automated test jobs using Continuous Testing (CT) framework
• Comply with ASPICE and Functional Safety processes
• Enhance and maintain build systems used by software developers
• Accountable to apply, maintain and decommission the standardized Continuous Integration (CI) Tool chain to the project / platform /program with support of "Core CI Team".
• Work closely with other software, systems and test engineering teams
• Plan and coordinate test development activities with other global sites

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
• Two years of experience developing automotive ADAS software, performing continuous software integration testing, developing software test plans, performing static code analysis, performing smoke and integration tests for ADAS ECUs
• Experience with installing and configuring continuous integration and automation tools, CANoe, Trace32, Jenkins, Coverity, Lauterbach, and Python.

Additional Background Preferences:

• Experience with programming languages like C, C++ and Python
• Experience with Visual Studio, Eclipse or similar IDEs
• Experience with low level drivers - SPI, I2C, and/or Ethernet drivers
• Experience with testing embedded SW using debuggers
• Experience with vehicle protocols - CAN, LIN, Flex Ray, Ethernet and corresponding testing tools like CANoe
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git or similar tools
• Familiarity with Automotive SPICE and ISO-26262
