Software Engineer
The Software Developer is responsible for all aspects of the software development life-cycle, from early analysis to post-release support, as well as other responsibilities as directed.
This developer should set a strong example for others to follow, establishing and solidifying best practices honed through years experience.
Candidates applying for this position should be very comfortable coaching others individually, and leading development knowledge transfer workshops.
RESPONSBILITIES
- Utilize the Angular2 web-framework to develop single-page web applications
- Develop aspnetcore web APIs using C#
- Author tests to run in Azure DevOps pipelines
- Debug application errors locally and in Azure hosted components
- Modify Microsoft SQL Server database scripts
- Contribute meaningfully in Agile planning meetings and daily stand-ups
- Provide mentoring for junior developers
- Perform root-cause analysis on production incidents
- Review Pull Requests for quality issues
- Contribute to the evolution of EDHC's software architecture and design
- Develop software with a strong emphasis security and privacy
- Produce technical documentation for core systems
Requirements
MUST HAVES
- Authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check
- 5+ years full-stack engineering experience
- 2+ years operating in a Lead/Senior capacity
- Outstanding communication skills. Able to lead technical discussions, and communicate directly with stakeholders as needed.
- Fluency with the tools of the modern Web (HTML5, CSS, typescript, package managers, asset bundlers etc)
- Commitment to excellence and technical ownership
- Comfortable in a least-privilege security environment
- Exceptional diagnostic and debugging skills
- Managed Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
- Continuous Integration platforms experience (Azure DevOps preferred)
- Proficient with Git source-control
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior experience in health-care technology sector
- Masters in Computer Science or related
- Public technical presentation examples (blog, tutorial, whitepaper, etc)
- Interesting open-source contributions
- Relevant Azure / Microsoft Certifications
- Believers in the UNIX philosophy

Currently, the role is remote, however candidates able to eventually commute to Dallas strongly preferred.
