Software Engineer

POSITION: Software Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the backend system for our product. Design distributed systems with micro services architecture running on Kubernetes. Work with Product Managers and Designers for the design and specification of our product. Collaborate with iOS, Android, Web, Machine Learning, and Data engineers to develop new features on our product. Collaborate with QA Engineers to test and deliver the feature with high-quality and high-speed. Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges. Write and maintain technical documentation. Manage project requirements, deadlines, and qualities. Mentor software engineers in the same team or project. Remote work permitted.

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

SALARY: $153,700.30 - $189,800.00 per year

REQUIREMENTS
Main Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or a closely related IT occupation. Employer will also accept three (3) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in stated field.
Special Skills: Also requires one (1) year of experience in the following:

• Data structures and algorithms;
• Developing complex software systems scaling to millions of users with production quality deployment, monitoring, and reliability;
• Design, develop, and mange micro services;
• Software testing and the ability to write testable code and proper tests;
• Cloud Spanner and MySQL;
• Go and PHP; and
• Docker and Kubernetes
