Software Engineer

Job Description

ASRC Federal seeks an experienced Software Engineer. Performsevaluationsof various software related products and covers assessments of software products through all phases of the development life cycle, including software specifications, design verification, coding, testing, and results data validation.Utilizes static and dynamic analysis tools to identify potential vulnerabilities and code defects. Works as part of a team, and independently, to verify and validate potential defects found during analysis. Participates in peer reviews throughoutthe productlifecycle.Mentors junior personnel. Exercises strong written and oral communication skills. Exercises strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Requirements

Required

ABET accredited BS in an Engineering discipline; or BS in a related field

Minimum of5yearsofrelated experience

Experience with C/C++ programming language

Some travel

ACTIVE security clearance is a requirement; interims or eligibility for interim is not sufficient

Desired

MS in related field

Experience with the Missile Defense Agency

Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) experience

Experience with Python, Java, Ada, or other programming languages

Knowledge of Static Code Analyzers (e.g.: HelixQAC, Code Dx, Coverity, CppCheck, Clang-Tidy, etc.)

Linux OS experience

Experiencewith embedded systems development, test, and/or IV V

Regression testing and performance testing experience

Knowledge of and familiarity with the IEEE 1012-1998 Standard for Software Verification and Validation
