THE POSITION
The Software Project Integrator is responsible to plan software integration steps and integrate the Software Components into the embedded software according to an integration strategy. This integration strategy is developed and maintained by the Software Integrator with the project team. The SWI monitors and reacts to failure tracking tools in an effort to assure quality and timely software deliveries. Similarly, the SWI monitors the SIL and HIL test results to react and prevent software issues. Ultimately the SWI is responsible for the compilation and distribution of SW versions to stakeholders. You will be working in VED projects that develop products with the objective of Saving Lives.

Core Responsibilities: • Responsible for the Software Integration of the SW project• Responsible for an excellent communication with all the team members and the customer• Analyzing complex SW Architectures and Recognition of Integration Issues• Define purpose and scope of Software Integration Plan• Identify the Software Components to be integrated. These includes all files which are necessary for the integration: c-files, h-files, configuration files.• Define the order of integration• Maintain traceability of Software Component Integration• Systematic and abstract analyzing and formulation of corresponding solutions• Identification and handling of dependencies• Recognition of weaknesses and risks • Understand Customer Delivery Requirements and Priorities• Integration and Delivery of ECU Software to vehicle and bench development per defined schedule• Provide support to Vehicle application teams and the Plant for identification of root cause for issues and corrective actions plans• Ensure all aspects of production processes for Software and Calibration Programming are validated

Additional Responsibilities:• Execute project per Continental PLC Procedure• Being part of a multinational team of engineers and responsible for software deliverables

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline• Knowledge of Software Integration relevant experience• Knowledge in embedded software development• Knowledge in SW System Integration, Integration Tests & Developing Test scripts for Test Automation • Knowledge with Software Configuration Management Tools / Version Control Tools• Willing to travel overseas for training and/or projects on short notice • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build relationships• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Masters in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline• Minimum of 2 years of Software Project Management/Integration relevant experience• Experience in Agile development process is a plus
