Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a Software Engineer (Modeling & Simulation) to support the Missile Defense Agency's Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) System Integration, Test and Readiness (SITR) contract in Huntsville, AL. SITR is responsible for the overall GMD Element engineering and integration, including physical and logical integration of the GMD Element and Components with the Missile Defense System. Cimarron's team members will be instrumental in ensuring the GMD Element of the Missile Defense System continues to provide safe, reliable, and responsive capability to defend the U.S. homeland.

In this role, you serve as a Software Engineer using Agile software development methods to assist in planning and executing GMD Element Modeling and Simulation development and integration for the upgrades to the GMD Element. We welcome you to be a part of this challenging and important program!

This is an onsite position.

Key Duties:

• Lead the development and integration of the GMD Weapon Systems M&S products.
• Lead activities to develop and integrate M&S products based on flow diagrams, Software Design documents, Interface Control documents, and dynamic M&S outputs.
• Lead activities to review system designs through Model Based Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo.
• Work effectively in a rapid-paced team environment.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Active or Interim Secret clearance.
• 5 or more years of experience.
• Experience with or knowledge of one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python.
• Ability to understand complex system designs and algorithms.
• Ability to derive a system design/functionality based on high-level requirements.
• Design flow diagram of system functionality.
• Experience working on an Agile-based development team.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry and typically 5 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Degree obtained from an accredited course of study.
