Job Description

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for building high performance, scalable, mission critical and secure software systems in the cloud. For this role, we are open to telecommuting.

What you’ll be doing:

Software Engineer

• Builds high performance, scalable, mission critical, and secure software systems in the cloud.
• Works with product and design team and runs statistical analysis on complex client data to derive business insight and devise the best solutions.
• Prepares functional and technical design documents including detailed protocol buffer (Protobuf) API and message designs.
• Writes Golang code to construct multi-level aggregating and pivoting search queries in ElasticSearch to satisfy business requirements.
• Improves support for multi-retailers by modifying the structure of the product object, storing it into GCP Bigtable and writing new structure into ElasticSearch.
• Creates release plans for deploying and maintaining the solution with GCP and Kubernetes considering full backward compatibility.
• Maintains and optimizes company-wide core services that handle the interface between large number of services and GCP BigTable.
• Expands, maintains, and optimizes complex, multi-level permissioning and organizational systems involving GCP Spanner implementation and tuning.
• Develops unit test cases for the implemented requirements and all modules.
• Maintains Rust code.
• Telecommuting OK.

What you need to bring:

• We are looking for the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field and 1 year of experience in agile development environment. Education or experience must
• include:
• Golang and Protobuf design and implementation;
• Knowledge of GCP components, including BigTable, Spanner and BigQuery;
• ElasticSearch query building, tuning, and configuration;
• Configuring and maintaining Kubernetes clusters; and Rust.

Compensation: $139,142 - $145,000 USD
