This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI.

Your Role:

  • Responsible for the software design, development for the assigned project.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with all associates and business contacts and promote a strong sense of teamwork
  • Work with stakeholders, customers, others to understand needs, to develop Features.
  • Design, Develop, Debug, Deploy, Maintain and Improve software features based on Technical Requirements
  • Document various aspects of the product including architecture, design, technical, test specifications, etc.
  • Work in an Agile development team (SCRUM)
  • Assure proper communication with assigned internal & external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Platform and Program Architects to define both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work with release management to define customer releases and solution increments.
  • Work with Platform Architects/Engineering and Program Architects to understand and prioritize architectural work on a platform level.
  • Assess metrics, including evaluation of business value achieved versus plan.
  • Take responsibility for the execution of standards and processes

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development (Embedded C, C++, RTOS, POSIX) and delivery
  • 3+ years of experience in delivering large scale software programs
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with customers
  • Working Experience in Automotive domain
  • Exposure to Configuration Management tools (GIT, Plastic)
  • Exposure to debug/triaging with microcontroller using debuggers | SW architecture module integration.
  • Agile/Scrum principles|ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts
  • Proactive problem solver Desirable
  • Willingness to take high personal responsibility and work independently
  • Expert knowledge of Software programming methods and tools
  • Work with colleagues to clarify or resolve issues and develop solutions
  • Experience with Agile development/management techniques
  • Experience with globally distributed teams
  • Knowledge of SW Quality processes (e.g. ASPiCE)
  • Experience with integration and functional testing
  • Ability to undertake and successfully complete multiple tasks/assignments
  • Demonstrate professional behavior and actions consistent with company values
  • Work with customer-dedicated teams to support job activities, including working onsite at customer locations as necessary

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering with relevant years of experience
  • Working Experience in ADAS
  • Familiar with Cybersecurity fundamental/working knowledge
  • 7+ years of software development
