Job Description

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Software Engineer located at WPAFB, OH. The software engineer will work with AFRL staff and other contractors to support the Hangar18 Delve Project. A strong candidate will have experience with Python, Agile, Gitlab and React/JavaScript development in a diverse multi-network and cloud environment. The Software Engineer's primary function will be to work with the Hangar18 Delve team, AFRL staff, and other contractors while supporting SLAKE.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, documenting, and testing autonomy software
  • Developing Python, React/JavaScript, and C++ software
  • Development to support multiple AFRL Lab environments integrating into a Hybrid Cloud environment
  • Software deployment using Terraform
  • Creating unit and regression test cases
  • Drafting and reviewing technical documents
  • Providing product release support
  • Participating in Agile project processes
  • Collaborating with multiple contractors and AFRL staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Software development experience
  • Experience working on an Agile project
  • Experience working with Gitlab
  • Experience working with Python and other full stack technologies
  • Experience developing in GoLang is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience writing technical documents
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of Virtual Machines, Networking, and hybrid cloud development environments
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
