Software Engineer

Navan has disrupted the corporate Travel, Payment, and Expense market putting the user’s needs always at the center of our solutions. You now have the unique opportunity to become one of the first team members of a brand new venture at Navan that is aiming at disrupting the Meetings & Events industry! In your role, you will have a high degree of flexibility to shape a fast growing product from the ground up, working in a high profile cross-functional team and launching new features at a fast pace. 

As a Software Engineer, you will develop core product features and services that power our innovative Meetings & Events solution used by thousands of users across the globe. 

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, launch and evolve the backend and frontend of the Meetings & Events platform in a scalable and reliable way
• Build out impactful product features
• Ensure the quality of the features you built, following-up on usage and issues post release
• Contribute and drive frameworks that lead to significant user experience improvements
• Learn from and assist the team in understanding and adopting new technologies
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams 
• Assist the leadership to execute the long-term vision
• Work side by side and get to learn from a highly motivated and talented team

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in software development building products
• Solid programming skills and CS fundamentals
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures
• Domain expertise in the travel industry is a plus
• Familiarity with Angular, typescript, and React is a plus
• Familiarity with Spring Framework and Hibernate or similar ORM technologies is a plus
• Familiarity with Java, AWS and/or distributed systems is a plus
• Track record of ownership demonstrated through shipping production-quality code equipped with testing, monitoring and documentation
• Passion for investigating and solving problems and willingness to learn and utilize new tools and technologies
• Team player with strong communication
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
