Software Engineer for Taboola, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA). Create web applications used internally
by publishers to power their newsroom. Work on frontend JavaScript-based web applications
used in newsrooms of publishers worldwide, providing real-time analytics, insights, and
automation of their homepage. Mange data from data stores. Write algorithms, API in
middleware, backend infrastructure, and build frontend web applications. Build backend
infrastructure to build new data pipelines to process large-scale data. Create solutions accounting
for server communication, data computation, DOM manipulation, UI/UX feasibility, and
backend infrastructure. Build, troubleshoot, and support production applications.
Requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer
Engineering or closely-related field and three years of experience developing frontend and
backend services, and architecting and supervising complex data workflows. Must have
experience: managing big data software pipelines; overseeing data analytics; implementing
algorithms; enhancing bottlenecks in software stack; and designing, building, shipping,
measuring, and maintaining backend services. Must have experience with the following
tools/technologies/skills: HTML/HTML5, Kafka, Spark, Hbase, SQL, API, JavaScript,
CSS/CSS3, AngularJS, Big Data, Scala, and Hadoop.
