Airbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. We believe only an open-source approach can solve the problem of data integration, as it enables us to cover the long tail of integrations while enabling teams to adapt pre-built connectors to their needs.
 
Within the past 24 months, we've built over 200+ connectors and we've had 25,000+ companies replicating data with us. We've raised $181M from some of the world's top investors (Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, Y Combinator, etc.) and believe in product-led growth, where we build something awesome and let our product bring the users, rather than an outbound sales engine with cold calls.

Opportunity

Airbyte Cloud is our SaaS ETL product. We are coming in hot to a $40bn market opportunity and this market grows 25% YoY following data growth. In under a month, the product has over 1K companies on the waitlist. As an engineer on the API team, you will be originating Airbyte's public API. This API will allow users programmatic access for configuring and scheduling data movement. It enables adding Airbyte into a user's data stack as well as opening up opportunities for white labeling.

 
What You'll Do
  • Build and scale up Airbyte's public API.
  • Drive project design.
  • Guide product decisions and the team roadmap with engineering perspective.
  • Grow the people around you through mentorship.
 
What You'll Need
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience. Hiring at all experienced levels!
  • Experience building public APIs
  • Excited to work remote
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement (both at a personal and team level)
