Software Engineer (Atlanta, GA, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.)

Overview

Our team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and installing software, hardware, and other types of support equipment into a workable network that supports a variety of functions.
• Designing and developing new system software solutions.
• Providing Systems Software Engineering infrastructure.
• Performing high-level systems support. Providing problem determination and resolution.
• Installing and updating newly developed software to assigned systems.
• Identifying alternatives for optimizing computer resources.
• Developing software projects in agile methodology.
• Investigating and analyzing information and drawing conclusions.
• Collecting information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
• Working as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
• Providing software upgrades, maintenance, and testing.
• Writing and maintaining system documentation.
• Providing capacity planning, disaster recovery, and security, where necessary.
• Possessing extensive experience with operating systems, network protocols, systems programming, and configurations, and/or hubs, switches, and routers. Working on end-to-end server builds.
• Proposing new software designs for new projects involving middleware like Jboss, Apache, Weblogic, and Tomcat.
• Coordinating multiple infrastructure projects and delivering on time.
• Providing strong software and infrastructure knowledge (compute, storage, networking (LAN/WAN/Internet), security, cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS).

• M.S. in Computer Science or closely related.
• 12 mo. experience in any related Software Engineering or Application Architect position.
• 12 mon. in: AGILE; Jboss; Apache; J2EE; Weblogic; Tomcat; ReactJS; CI/CD automation; MongoDB; JIRA; MS SQL.
• Telecommuting permitted.
• 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
