Software Engineer (Backend)

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our Platform Team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems that process millions of records from various data sources integrating with ZoomInfo's data, enabling custom data filtering and data insights across our core products like ZoomInfo Sales

What You'll Do:

• Backend Development: Implement new features and maintain existing functionality within our backend systems
• Roadmap Execution: Design, plan, and execute the team’s roadmap with a focus on scalability, quality, and performance
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and product managers to understand business requirements and ensure alignment
• Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate and complete tasks involving stakeholders outside the immediate team
• Balanced Execution: Navigate the balance between perfection and timely delivery
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in backend development with Node.js and Nest.js
  • Experience with event-driven architecture
  • Strong knowledge of modern databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
• Problem-Solving: Ability to devise quick solutions and implement them effectively
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss business-related matters

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Experience with Apache Beam, Google Dataflow, or AWS Kinesis
• Proficiency in Java development
• Knowledge of data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
