About the Role

As a Software Engineer Backend you’ll play a key part in designing building and maintaining the data platform and our Machine Learning products. This is an opportunity to work with cutting edge technology that transforms rich data into actionable intelligence for our customers. You will collaborate with Engineers Data Scientists and Product Managers to build new features build new modules and extensions for our system.

In this role you will:

• Craft high quality code for scale availability and performance

• Collaborate with Engineers and Data Scientist to build high-performing customer focused solutions

• Drive engineering projects to from end to end with a high level of ownership

• Ensure the quality of our product through code reviews testing and bug fixing

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of developing and scaling high-availability systems

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

• Strong expertise in Python Flask Airflow and SQL.

• Experience with columnar analytical databases for example Redshift Snowflake Clickhouse Apache Druid or others.

• A bias for action where no task is too small

Nice to haves:

• Experience with managing infrastructure building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Terraform Cloud

• Experience with node.js/typescript

• Comfort with cloud technologies such as AWS

• Experience working in high growth venture-backed startup(s)

• Prior experience with fintech trading transaction or payments data for optimization fraud recommendation routing or tracking
