OVERVIEW

You are a curious software developer who is dedicated to your craft and solving big problems; you write code that you are proud of and can hit the ground running with support from the team. AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER ON THE AGENT SERVICES TEAM YOU WILL

• Research, design, develop, and own solutions that facilitate communications with 1 million plus Automox agents deployed globally.
• Lead by example by championing software development best practices, and writing well-designed code.
• Extend, enhance, and evolve event driven services to provide new and exciting features in the Automox platform and in our endpoint software.
• Contribute to continual improvement by testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation.
• Produce detailed specifications, and contribute in all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
• Operate with a quality-first mindset. Your approach to testing sets you apart from your peers.
• Make data-driven decisions. You understand the impact of your development before it reaches production.

ABOUT YOU

• Programming experience in Golang or Java is required. That being said, the right candidate will leverage their extensive engineering background to be impactful in any language.
• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications deployed in a high availability SaaS environment.
• Experience building production applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• Experience working as a Software Engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity is desired.
• Enjoy scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms. Have familiarity scaling websockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), and non-relational database systems (DynamoDB), networking, DevOps.
• Excellent communicator, thrives within a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team environment.
