WHAT YOU`LL FOCUS ON

As a Software Engineer (Backend), you’ll be joining our new identity team. Here you’ll work on features and (internal) APIs to support authentication, user management, digital signatures and access control checks. We aim to provide our customers with one central account to access all Castor applications, as well as one centralized access control system. 

Concurrently, you will support other product teams to replace their (legacy) identity and access control functionality with the applications, APIs and libraries we develop.

WHO ARE YOU? 

• You have a computer science background and 1-3 years of work experience.
• You are an independent worker and like to find creative solutions and work with new tech
• You have a strong interest in software architecture and are eager to learn more about it

WHAT YOU`LL BRING

• Practical experience with a modern OOP programming language like PHP or Java, design patterns, OOP, and automated tests
• Experience in building web-based applications (SaaS)
• Knowledge of web security, common vulnerabilities and their mitigations
• A creative mindset with the ability to help solve challenging domain problems

It would be good if you had: 

• Experience within life sciences, healthtech or e-clinical products.
• Experience with authentication standards like OAuth 2, OIDC and/or SAML and authentication systems like Keycloak, Auth0 and/or Okta
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with decentralized access control systems

Please note that we are open to hire from different European countries. However, we are unable to accept applications from France, Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden, and Switzerland. In addition, we will not be able to provide any visa sponsorship for this role.
