As a Software Engineer on the Data Ingestion team, you will work within an agile team in our Engineering department, contributing directly to our flagship product Consumer Research. Together the Data Ingestion team designs, develops, improves and maintains the data ingestion pipelines that bring in more than 0.5bn documents/day and feed the Brandwatch infrastructure on the terabyte to petabyte level.

You will be part of a team whose work is foundational to the system, working with data at high-volume from sources such as X, Reddit, LinkedIn, as well as news, blogs, and forum data.

Our work is very backend focused, with plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and get exposure to complex large-scale data pipelines. You will work within our state-of-the-art technology stack, building Java applications using the Spring Framework and technologies such as Kafka and AWS. You will ship code in a continuous integration environment using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.

You Should apply If:

  • You have an applicable prior industry experience of writing and shipping high quality Java code as part of a team. Beyond that, we recognize that you may need further development in some areas, and we encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all of the requirements for the role: we encourage and support growth and development for everyone.
  • That said, prior experience in any of the following areas is a nice-to-have Spring, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes.
