Software Engineer, Cloud Computing - GPU

As a Software Engineer in Cloud Automation at NVIDIA, you design, implement and maintain automation for cloud scalability, performance, and reliability. You're responsible for building tools to improve developer efficiency, deployment automation, and maintain cloud configurations. You will interact with other engineering teams who want to build services on your platform approving their designs and supporting them in the design and build phases.

To succeed, you must have a strong system and software development background, familiarity with modern distributed systems especially the Cloud-native ecosystem, and a proven work ethic. What you’ll be doing:

• Develop software and contribute directly to the Nvidia GPU Cloud (NGC) platform

• Build, design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions

• Automate software releases and deployments including communication

• Build CI/CD pipelines for developer workflows, cloud configuration, and maintenance operations

• Implement alerting, tracing, and monitoring of applications & services

• Support, maintain and document solutions

What we need to see:

• BS in Computer Science, or other technically related field (or equivalent experience)

• 5 + years of proven ability in a development position hands-on experience writing Shell (Bash) and Python or Go

• Proficiency with automation systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar

• Experience with maintaining and scaling AWS cloud infrastructure

• Substantial experience with Linux

• Demonstrate technical problem solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal, and written communication skills required

• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Proficiency with AWS IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, Route53, CloudFront

• Familiarity with Terraform, Spinnaker, Ansible, or similar

• First-hand experience with security automation tools

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker

The base salary range is 132,000 USD - 207,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
