Datadog's Information Security Organization's mission is to enable our customers to adopt Datadog products by providing continuous assurance of our control environment, thereby building customer trust. Compliance Engineering is part of the Information Security organization and enables the organization to scale through tooling and automation. We are building a continuous monitoring platform to proactively monitor Datadog's security controls, identify and mitigate control deviations to provide greater assurance to our customers. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Compliance Engineering team. As a Full Stack engineer on the team , you will help us create a robust KPI platform that will help Datadog complete the periodic audits in an efficient manner. You will work on Python, Go, Postgres, Cassandra, etc on the backend and Typescript/React on the frontend to build and scale new features for the continuous monitoring platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with other engineers, stakeholders and users to inform/refine/validate product ideas and design concepts.
  • Design and implement visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, reports and interactive visualizations to effectively present complex information in a user-friendly manner.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of your code to ensure accuracy, reliability and optimal performance, Implement compelling, usable UIs; and engineer them with React
  • Collaborate with other frontend engineers across the organization and the broader Datadog frontend community to keep up with recommended standards and best practice.


Who You Are:

  • You have proven experience in designing and engineering UIs.
  • You have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go , Javascript/Typescript, HTML and CSS.
  • You know how to use design patterns to create simple and reusable components for complex UIs
  • You are familiar with data structures and algorithms, profiling and optimization
  • You value code simplicity, performance and details
  • You have strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • You are an accountable team player that likes to get things done
  • You want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $123,000 to $155,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
