Software Engineer - Contractor

Position Summary

Our client is a leading software company in the compliance and reporting space, seeking a highly technical Software Engineer contractor to complete this project. This is a fully remote role.

This project will be replacing the remaining ADO.NET DataSets with PetaPoco-based

data models. For this project there is already a repeatable process in place (from a prior

conversion) that will be used as a template.

Key Responsibilities

• 10 DataSets remain that need to be converted into data models. Each DataSet could contain multiple tables.
• Create a new primary key in the database table being converted if one doesn't exist.
• Create a new class (PetaPoco-based model) in C#. Include the necessary getters and setters.
• Create the necessary repository classes and interfaces.
• Create the necessary access methods represented in the existing table adapter (beyond what comes standard in PetaPoco).
• Find all the places in the entire solution (Website, ADP Data Connectors, GlogalSign Signature Monitor, etc.) where the name of the table adapter being converted is mentioned. Work though each one on a case-by-case basis.

Required Education and Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience working as a Software Engineer / Developer
• Technical degree or related work experience
• High technical acumen and strong application development background
• Superior development skills utilizing data analysis, C#, SQL Server, and .NET technology
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in an Agile Scrum framework
• Proficiency applying the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto
• Strong organizational skills while demonstrating attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Adept in proactively identifying risk and recommending mitigation and countermeasures
