Controller’s Technology has a mandate to bring innovation and enhancements to the P&L reporting system used by our Controllers and Valuation Team within our Finance department. This system plays a critical role for investors, management, investment professionals, and various internal teams to understand the Firm performance.

What you’ll do

As a software engineer on the Controller’s Technology team, you will use your programming expertise to design, develop, and support ETL, data warehouse, process flow, PnL validation and adjustment tools, and PnL reporting framework to modernize the PnL reporting platform and streamline the business process. In this role you will:

• Build analytical tools on a next generation technology platform to facilitate understanding of performance for Firm management and portfolio managers as well the reporting requirements of our Finance, Operations, Audit, and Technology functions.
• Develop quantitative understanding of PnL process and data flow to anticipate new requirements
• Innovate and improve our capabilities to deliver high quality products to our business partners
• Solve complex and challenging problems through the application of creative and unique solutions using the latest technology

What’s required

• Training in Computer Science, or related technical field with 7 years of programming experience
• Programming experience in systems or applications with emphasis on number accuracy
• Looking for candidates with a mix of skillsets : SQL, Python, C#, React, NodeJS, and more
• Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solver with deep understanding of core computer science algorithms and data structures
• Advanced and detail-oriented data analytical skills
• Experience in designing, building, and delivering end to end software solutions
• Prior experience in financial industry working with Risk, valuation or trading systems.
