Software Engineer, Data Products (Contract)

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our machine learning and data science team. This position is a remote and contract role.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to exciting greenfield projects
• Work across the stack to maintain services that support ad targeting, reporting, and other business critical features
• Experiment with new tech to find the right tool for the job
• Use Kanban to manage multiple releases per week
• Maintain high code quality through code reviews and automated tests

Qualifications

• Experience building web applications with Elixir and Phoenix
• You are comfortable optimizing SQL to process billions of records in a relational database like Postgres
• You enjoy front-end development in a modern JavaScript stack
• You’ve contributed to architecture decisions for a high throughput application
• Experience working with streaming and batch data processing tools like Apache Beam, Spark, Flink, etc.
• Familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud big data products
