About the Data, Reporting and Analytics Team

The Data, Reporting and Analytics team leverages technology to scale Sixth Street’s businesses and provide a platform for market redefining risk analytics and automation in the alternative asset management space.

The Role

As a software engineer, you will be a part of the Data Analytics & Reporting Team working to build out our “Aurum” product. This team is responsible for building an ecosystem of services for the Alternative Asset Manager space as well as the ETL, aggregation, and reporting of data throughout the business. As a member of this team, you will be instrumental in developing the core set of APIs used for integration and reporting. 

Core Responsibilities

• Integrate the middle tier with both internal and third-party systems

• Build and maintain APIs for accessing data in the middle tier

• Perform data analysis to deliver reports and answer questions from the business

• Create and maintain documentation for the middle tier

• Build automated code deployments to cloud environments

Preferred

• Minimum of 8-13+ years of experience in professional software development
• Track record of delivering business-critical products on time
• Strong experience working with relational or “NoSQL” data stores
• Broad experience with systems integration, including implementing and integrating with other web services and APIs
• Excellent programming skills in a major language. Python experience preferred
• Experience designing and building web applications and services
• Experience with AWS cloud
• Experience with automated deployment pipelines
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Comfort working in a high growth, iterative environment
