Software Engineer, Database Sources
Job Description
As a Software Engineer, you will build and maintain the most popular source connectors at Airbyte: database connectors. Building these connectors will require you to go deep into each database and understand its approach to optimized queries, write-ahead logging and information schema management. You will use that learning to efficiently pull data from these databases as well as build Change Data Capture (CDC). You will build the framework for extracting data from these systems. The ultimate goal is make Airbyte's database sources the undisputed industry leaders.
While we give little importance to job titles, we believe every Airbyter should know their internal level and understand what’s expected of them in their role, at their level. This opportunity is for an L5+ Engineer. L5s contribute their deep expertise and experience to large-scale and complex problems. They drive impact by providing thought leadership and context to the organization, driving alignment across teams to achieve success with company objectives.
