Digital Assets Trading

IEX is building a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets with a new initiative that intends to give investors a transparent and compliant way to trade digital assets. We just announced plans to work with the leading cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, to establish a clear, simple, and transparent market structure for buying, selling and trading digital asset securities. Software Engineer for Test

IEX is looking for a talented test engineer to contribute to its Digital Assets Trading team. You have experience designing and developing tools and test cases to validate systems in an automated manner, as well as a curiosity to understand the business behind the test cases.  You will be joining a lean QA team and will have the ability to make a significant impact to IEX’s Digital Assets platform. To be successful in this role, you should have Java programming and Linux experience. This position requires interaction with a variety of other teams, therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

What You’ll Do: 

• Assist in the creation of testing software and scripts for all components, with an emphasis on edge cases and software conformance to company policies and procedures 
• Programmatically implement test scripts for automated testing 
• Review the test scripts for each component with the technical writer, lead programmer, business, compliance, and operations representatives
• Develop end-to-end integration test scripts that focus on the edge cases of component integration
• Produce pass/fail metrics of all component testing and develop a methodology and reporting process for evaluating code quality based on testing metrics
• Coordinate testing with external counterparties
• Identify and develop tools for monitoring and maintaining the UAT environment 

You Are:

• 5+ years' relevant work experience  
• Java programming and Linux experience 
• FIX protocol, a plus 
• Digital Assets or other financial trading knowledge, a plus 
• Experience working with blockchains, smart contracts, data oracles or other related technologies
